Jubitron the Girl Robot, A Review

The first thing I did when I got my iPad mini, was look for some cute apps for Amelia. Jubitron the Girl Robot is the first one I found, and Amelia loves it! For .99 it has been a huge help at bedtime calming down my cranky little one.





The graphics are cute and interactive. The music is great! Amelia has been digging this app since she was 3 months old, and I can't wait for her to learn how to read so she can read the story to me. There is a 'read to me' option that has the cutest British narrator.









This is Amelia's favorite page, because she can touch the head and make the lightbulb pop out! Again, the music really makes it!













I've been recommending this app to all my friends with children. I hope they make more stories of Jubitron and the gang soon!

My mom came for a visit over the long weekend and snapped this picture of me and Amelia. It's my favorite picture of us!

Handmade Fav: My Kawaii Phone

For a while now I've wanted a decoden case for my phone, but all the ones I found were super expensive. I entertained the idea of making my own, but got overwhelmed with all the different cabochons and also the time it would take to glue all the pieces on. I stumbled across My Kawaii Phone on Etsy, who not only had  great prices but does custom cases. She has a new online shop on Storenvy where she sells her cases, and now uses her Etsy to sell cute cabochon sets.

I ordered a custom case, (pictured above) and was so excited to get it! She has awesome customer service and fast delivery! She also makes cases for other devices! Be Present

Recently I was in the waiting room at the doctor's office and I noticed that everyone (and I  mean everyone) was completely absorbed in their phones. I was the only odd ball reading a real book. Since that day I notice it everywhere I go, even at home. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm never on my phone because that would be a lie, I am addicted to Instagram, Twitter, and now Vine.

This observation has got me thinking about how things used to be before we all had iPhones as an extension of ourselves. What are we missing out on as our heads are down, eyes locked onto the tiny screen?

So this is my reminder to you, to put your phone down sometimes and just relish in the moment now. You may be missing out on something precious while you're trying to document and share it with the world. Just enjoy, and be present. I know I am...

That's What She Said Sunday

Today we had loads of fun playing with the ShopKick app and taking Amelia about town with us. Right now, we have a fussy girl, but it seems the swing we bought today is calming her down...cross your heart and kiss you elbow that something works soon, her little tears break my heart.

Puppy Montage

I don't know about you, but cute and fluffy things (like puppies) make me happy. My two little pals always make my day better with their cute faces, wagging tails, snuggles and kisses. They have the funniest personalities, and I'm pretty sure they can understand me when I talk to them. My puppies like to sing and dance, so put on some tunes and enjoy this puppy montage.

PS They sure do sleep a lot. Living the dream. :)
