That's What She Said Sunday
Source
It's been 100+ degrees here in west Texas! It's time for ice cream and sprinklers! Sadly, I never catch the ice cream truck! I can hear the song, but it just taunts me!
Here's hoping you can catch the ice cream truck and enjoy a treat!
Happy Sunday!

5am Moodboord
Right now it's 5 am and Amelia is wide awake! We are watching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (like always). I can't decide if I should have a coffee or wait and see if she wants to go back to sleep (I want to go back to sleep!).
I had lots of fun making this moodboard, it's happy and optimistic. Right now, I'm trying to keep those feelings alive, and bright colors, ice cream, mermaid hair, Amelie(favorite movie), Disney, and fun pink roller skates evoke those feelings for me. A little reminder to have fun and enjoy the little moments, and not to worry about things I can't change.
Find Your Voice: Week 1
I am really enjoying this project. I took me a while to get started, but it all started falling into place late last night. :)
Here is the cover of my SmashBook that I am using. There is a nifty pocket in the back to put my worksheets.
Here are a few fun supplies I picked up at Target this morning that I can't wait to use!
It took me a while to fill out the worksheets, and for a few minutes I felt kinda stressed, but I went and watched some My Little Pony and got some perspective. I'm not deep or philosophical. I'm pretty laid back and I like cute things. So my worksheet is a true reflection of me (also with the lack of sentences, just words and phrases, that's how I think). I also had to start with the last question and work my way to the first...

Unfinished Projects
First up is the baby blanket I started knitting in February. I was inspired by this blanket and tutorial from The Purl Bee.
I altered my pattern a bit and decided against doing the stripes because the yarn I found was making such a pretty pattern.
I'm using Yarn Bee First Love yarn in lovely, and US 10 circular needles.
I cast on 115.
Purl the first and last stitch of each row to make a border, and just do a regular knit stitch for the rest.
So far I am on my second skein of yarn, and I know I will need at least one more.
Today I worked on a few rows while Amelia and I watched Mulan.
I'll keep you posted on my progress. If you would like to make your own blanket and have any questions feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer.
What unfinished project do you need to work on? I'd love to see it! Leave a link in the comments.

New Doll Design: Kawaii Ears
I've been coming up with new doll designs, and I obviously have a thing for animal ears. I've been working on more embroidered faces, and in the future plan to add cute sayings or some song lyrics to the bodies of the dolls. I had 'Lost At Sea' by Eisley stuck in my head while thinking up this doll. Hopefully, if my design works out, I will have a new doll for sale in my shop soon.

Things have been busy around here, and every time I get a second something else comes up. I saw this over at Lariats and Lavender and decided to play along.
Reading I just finished the third book in the Confessions of a Shopaholic series, and I'm trying to decide what to read next.
Wondering how to make more time fit in a day. Or how to build a time turner.
Feeling Thankful that my husband has a second interview for a better paying job.
Eating lots of cherries and ramen.
Watching besides My Little Pony or Littlest Pet Shop with Amelia, I've been sneaking in some KamiSama Kiss.
Working On finding a routine to get more done with a baby. It's tough. I need time to work out, work on illustrations for my children's book, and dolls...but none of it is happening right now. I mostly focus on keeping Amelia happy, fed, and on a quasi nap schedule.
Loving my iPad mini. It helps me get so much done with a baby sleeping on me.
Drinking mineral water or strawber-Rita's.
Playing nothing right now. But that new Animal Crossing game looks cute.
Listening To the new Paramore album when I get the chance or 90's alternative pandora.
Wearing Paramore ice cream tee and some GAP pale pink khakis.
Wanting a vehicle with A/C, Coffee, and these overalls that I will never be able to afford.
Following I haven't been reading too many blogs lately, mostly books or manga.

I wish I could wake up and go to a yoga class. I'm looking for a new yoga DVD, any recommendations?
This is some amazing art, not sure if I could drink my latte if it was this cute.
This crochet tutorial is pretty rad, if only I could crochet.
Love yourself.
Happy reading!
